WCA Convenes 24 Licensees To Discuss LMDS Strategic Planning

Wireless Communicaitons Association (WCA) convened a meeting of 24 companies holding LMDS licenses in the United States for the purpose of discussing an overall strategy to maximize the value of licenses. The meeting convened by conference call or in person in Washington, DC from companies holding LMDS licenses in Block A and Block B Hz frequency bands at 28 and 31 GHz. This constituted representatives for more than 60% of all licenses auctioned by the FCC, including those for the vast majority of those well-populated areas that have been the highest-valued licenses. The next licensees’ meeting is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 23.
